Southwick’s Zoo will be open an hour early (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM) for guests looking for a sensory-friendly opportunity to visit the zoo and enjoy a quieter atmosphere and environment.
Southwick’s Zoo has partnered with the Autism Alliance of Metrowest to help us better accommodate guests with sensory processing needs and to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for guests of all abilities.

Friday, August 18 at 9:00 am
Friday, September 15 at 9:00 am
Sensory Bags
Available at the Guest Services window. Visitors can borrow a sensory bag which includes: an ID badge/sticker, lanyard, noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, water timer, squishy toy, grip stick, and social story booklet.
