Celebrate the bounty of fall at the zoo

Celebrate fall to the fullest at Southwick’s Zoo! Join us on October 20th for a day packed with activities including craft and farmers market vendors, live music, entertainment, a beer garden, free games, free horse drawn wagon rides, and more! Harvest Fest is included with zoo admission, however please be aware that the Beer Garden portion of the event requires its own separate ticket. Learn more about the Harvest fest Beer Garden.

Harvest Fest takes place during our annual Zoo Boo Days event, so children ages 3-12 in costume receive free admission!

*Children must be accompanied by a paid adult. 2 children free allowed per paying adult. Offer is only available for families and is not valid for birthday parties, private event packages, field trips, day cares, boy scout or girl scout troops, corporate outings, or other groups. Offer applies to admission only and cannot be applied to Zoo-It-All (combo) admission, EARTH memberships, or Value Passes.

Live Music

Gay Perkoski

If you have seen Gay perform during our Sunset Serenade event earlier this summer, then you are already familiar with this soulful vocalist! Gay is a singer/songwriter from Southeastern Massachusetts. Her sound is a bluesy combination of rock and folk which reflect her love of the many artists who have influenced her.

Set Time: 11:00am-1:00pm

Location: Soaring Eagle Zip Line Deck (across from the Galliford’s lower patio)

Timmy Brown

We are excited to have singer/songwriter/Nashville recording artist Timmy Brown performing at this year’s Harvest Fest! Timmy has been voted New England Country Music’s Local Male Artist of the Year three times in a row, and his infectious energy and talent has made him a local favorite here in MA.

Set Time: 1:30pm-3:00pm

Location: Soaring Eagle Zip Line Deck (across from the Galliford’s lower patio)

Country Wild Band

Based out of Newport, RI, Country Wild is the area’s hottest contemporary country dance and show band that knows how to excite, entertain, and rock out.

Set Time: 3:00pm-5:00pm

Live Pumpkin Carving – 12:00pm-5:00pm
Near the petting zoo

Watch artist Cass Remillard perform a live pumpkin carving demonstration! Her impressive pumpkins are far from your average jack-o’-lantern.

Chainsaw Carving – 12:00pm-5:00pm

Watch Chainsaw Carvings by Brett in action as Brett creates custom sculptures using a chainsaw.

Harvest Fest Beer Garden


Sample craft beer from local breweries! The Harvest Fest Beer Garden will be located in the large white event pavilion located next to the zoo. Please note that the Beer Garden is not included with admission and requires a separate ticket. Tickets are limited, so we do not recommend waiting too long to purchase!

The Beer Garden is 21+ to drink, and IDs will be checked.

Ticket Information

Beer Garden: $25/Person

Beer Garden Ticket Includes: Entry into Beer Garden area from 11:00am-5:00pm with 8 free samples (each pour up to 4oz) & a 5.5oz souvenir taster glass to bring home.

*Beer Garden tickets do not include zoo admission. Zoo admission is not required to enjoy the beer garden, however zoo admission is required to participate in other Harvest Fest activities within the zoo. Tickets are non-refundable, and this event will take place rain or shine. 

Note: Check-In for the Beer Garden will be located at the large white event pavilion across from the Zoo’s Main Entrance. The Beer Garden area is family friendly. Only those with a Beer Garden ticket and wristband will receive samples. Additional beverages and food will be available to purchase near the Beer Garden tent, and a cash bar will also be available.

Buy a Beer Garden ticket and save on zoo admission! Beer Garden participants can show their ticket at the entrance to purchase zoo admission at a discounted rate of $20 on October 20, 2019.

*Discount only applies to the admission of individuals with Beer Garden tickets. Discount only available at the zoo’s entrance on October 20, 2019 and cannot be applied to tickets purchased online or other pre-purchased admission. Discount only valid for Admission Only (general admission) and cannot be applied to Zoo-It-All Admission, EARTH Memberships, Value Passes, etc.
