- De Brazza’s monkeys are also sometimes called swamp monkeys. This is because they are often found in close proximity to swamps and other bodies of water. They spend much of their time in trees, however they can swim.
- Males and females have pouches in their cheeks to help them store food while foraging.
- De Brazza’s communicate through a variety of vocalizations. They may bark or shake branches to ward off predators. They also make a booming call to communicate their territory. These monkeys also communicate through body language. For example, if a De Brazza’s Monkey bobs its head up and down, it is trying to intimidate.
