Tented Events Pavilion
Available from May through October, the Tented Events Pavilion offers a spacious outdoor setting overlooking the African Plains, where zebra, oryx, and ostrich roam. Located near Southwick’s Zoo’s main entrance, the pavilion provides a flexible venue for large group events.
Venue Details
- Size: Approximately 4,000 sq. ft. with stone patio flooring
- Amenities: Electricity, lighting, private restrooms, gazebo, garden areas, and fire pits
- Ideal For: Corporate outings, large group events, and gatherings seeking a relaxed or elegant outdoor atmosphere
Packages at the pavilion offer a variety of food-service options, including buffet-style or plated meals. At the pavilion, team members from our professional events department are with you from the moment you arrive until the last confetti falls to assist with any onsite activities.
Multiple add-ons can be added to your event package, including admission to Southwick’s Zoo or any seasonal evening festivals, to full buyouts of the park.
The Daniels Room
The Daniels Room is a welcoming and elegant events hall located on the lower level of Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern. With its warm interior, private amenities, and a spacious walk-out patio complete with fire pits, it offers a comfortable and versatile setting for gatherings of all kinds.
Space Details
- Size: 1,800 sq. ft. of private event space
- Amenities: Built-in audio and video equipment, private restrooms, and an oversized patio with fire pits
- Ideal Capacity: Suitable for groups of 30 to 140 guests
Daniels Room add-on packages are also available, including admission to Southwick’s Zoo and seasonal evening festivals.
Events in the Daniels Room must be booked at least two weeks in advance, and a reserve deposit is required to secure the date.
Kids' Birthday Pavilion
The Kids’ Birthday Pavilion offers a fun, family-friendly setting for celebrating children’s birthdays at Southwick’s Zoo. This covered pavilion provides a designated space for parties within the zoo, allowing young guests and their families to enjoy both a dedicated celebration area and a full day of exploring animal habitats and attractions.
Birthday celebrations at the pavilion are supported by the zoo’s events team and are available through a variety of party packages, each designed to accommodate different group sizes and preferences. Packages include reserved pavilion time and all-day zoo admission for party guests, making it easy to enjoy the celebration while taking advantage of everything the zoo has to offer.

Within the Wild offers a venue that’s truly wild. Located in a covered open air pavilion in the heart of Southwick’s Zoo amongst the siamang and snow leopard habitats, the Within the Wild experience offers detail, setting, and the delightful sounds of nature. Enjoy a memorable way to celebrate engagements, anniversaries, and other special occasions in an immersive and unique atmosphere.

The Carousel Room
The Carousel Room is a one-of-a-kind event space located within Southwick’s Zoo grounds, offering a fun, relaxed setting for small to mid-sized gatherings. Centered around the zoo’s beautifully designed carousel, this fully enclosed pavilion is bright and naturally lit, with hand-painted, nature-inspired artwork throughout. Heated and air conditioned for year-round comfort, the space creates an easy indoor-outdoor flow with an adjacent patio featuring seating and fire pits.
Ideal for celebrations that call for a lively atmosphere, the Carousel Room supports buffet-style service along the interior perimeter, along with a private bar area. Unlimited carousel access adds a memorable, guest-friendly centerpiece that makes the event feel distinctly “Southwick’s.”

Located on the second floor of Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern, The Upper Lounge offers an elegant, private setting ideal for smaller gatherings and special occasions. The space balances comfort and refinement with a flexible two-sided layout featuring a dedicated dining area alongside a separate serving and standing space.
The Upper Lounge also includes a private bar area as well as a private restroom for convenience and exclusivity.

Restaurant Semi-Private
The Restaurant Semi-Private Space offers an intimate yet lively setting within Galliford’s main dining room. Defined by abundant natural light and elevated views of the zoo, this area strikes a comfortable balance between privacy and atmosphere, making it well-suited for smaller gatherings that benefit from an active restaurant environment.
Framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and separated from the rest of the dining room by doors, the space provides scenic views of nearby habitats, including the flamingo habitat and petting zoo, while remaining connected to the energy of Galliford’s dining experience. Guests enjoy attentive service from dedicated wait staff and a prepared menu, allowing events to unfold seamlessly and at an easy pace.
