Zoo Emergency Fund
We are now open! Click here to learn more about Phase One at the zoo.
Like many businesses and organizations, COVID-19 has had a drastic impact on our zoo. The delay in our opening has resulted in a loss of the income we rely on to operate. Even now that we are open, we must restrict the number of daily visitors.
Your zoo needs your support more than ever.
Southwick’s Zoo is privately owned, open seasonally, and does not receive any state or federal funding. Admission proceeds go directly towards veterinary care, diets, enrichment, heating, exhibit maintenance, the design of new exhibits, paying our dedicated staff, and the many other expenses involved in housing and caring for animals year-round.
How Can You Help?
Contribute to Our Emergency Fund
Please consider making a contribution to our Emergency Fund. No amount is too small, and every generous contribution helps us ensure that all animals are well-fed, provided with enrichment, and are receiving any necessary veterinary care during this difficult time.
*Please be aware that financial gifts to Southwick’s Zoo are not tax deductible.
Sponsor a Species
Support the care of a particular species at the zoo by becoming a species sponsor!
Donate a Mask
Now that we are open, we are implementing new safety protocols to keep guests, employees, volunteers, and animals as safe as possible. Part of this updated protocol includes zoo staff wearing masks. We are currently looking for donations of cloth masks, including homemade. If you would like to donate a mask, we will happily cover the mailing cost and provide you with a label. For more information, please email email@example.com.
Purchase an Item on Our Wish List
Another way to support the care of the animals is to purchase something off of our animal care team’s Amazon Wish List. This list contains a variety of enrichment items as well as tools.
