Take a magical journey through Southwick’s Zoo with friends and family to view spectacular holiday lights!

This year’s Winter Wonderland will be a drive thru, so guests will stay cozy and warm in their vehicles as they venture through the zoo.

The Winter Wonderland Drive Thru tour will take guests through the Frozen Forest where they may spot a few our of fallow deer. Guests will also drive through Whoville to encounter the Grinch himself.  Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the yeti!

Park your vehicle, either before or after your Drive Thru tour, and stroll through Santa’s Enchanted Village. Here guests can enjoy a socially distanced meet and greet with Santa Claus as well as entertainment, interactive musical lights, reindeer games, a petting zoo (we know how much our visitors miss the goats over the winter!), and more. Concessions will be available in this area, so be sure to warm up with a hot toddy or smores!

The Purple Peacock Gift Shop will be open for holiday shopping, so be sure to stop by for gifts and to say hello to Mrs. Claus. Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern will also be open and offering holiday themed food and drink specials.

Winter Wonderland Ticket Information

$50 per car

Winter Wonderland admission is only available per vehicle and not per person. Admission includes the Winter Wonderland Drive Thru and Santa’s Enchanted Village. Santa’s Enchanted Village closes at 8:00pm. If you purchase a ticket for the 8:15pm Drive Thru, please plan to arrive early enough to enjoy the walk through are BEFORE your Drive Thru tour.

Winter Wonderland admission MUST be purchased online for a specific date and entry time. Each entry time has a limited number of tickets available. Admission cannot be purchased at the door.

All guests entering Southwick’s Zoo are doing so at their own risk. Southwick’s Zoo will not be held
responsible for injuries or damage to vehicles including but not limited to poor weather conditions,
road condition, other vehicles, etc. Please review all rules and guidelines before purchasing your ticket.

Winter Wonderland Safety Rules & Visitor Guidelines

Masks MUST be worn covering the mouth and nose during any interactions with Winter Wonderland staff. Masks must also be worn while visiting Santa’s Enchanted Village, the Purple Peacock Gift Shop, and any other public areas including the restaurant. Face coverings do not need to be worn while in your vehicle unless interacting with an employee.

Guests must practice social distancing and remain at least 6 feet from other visitor groups when in Santa’s Enchanted Village, the Purple Peacock Gift Shop, and in the restaurant.

NO large Commercial vehicles, Oversize Vehicles, Oversize Vans, Minibuses,
Motor coach, or Motorcycles.

Do not exceed at speed of 2mph during the Drive Thru.

During the Drive Thru, guests must remain in their vehicles and stay on the desginated path at all times. 

Do not drive distracted. Stay aware of your surroundings, and be careful to keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.

Please do not litter. Do not throw any object out of your vehicle.

Smoking, recreational drug use, and alcohol are not permitted.

Pets CANNOT be brought to Winter Wonderland.

Be respectful of other visitors, staff, and the animals. Do not honk or play loud music.

Winter Wonderland Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if it rains or snows?
Please visit our website at www.southwickszoo.com or our Facebook page for updates if weather conditions are poor. In the event of severe weather, we reserve the right to cancel drive thru tours. In this case, ticket holders will be able to change their reservation date by contacting Guest Services at guestservices@southwickszoo.com or by calling 1-800-258-9182 ext 211. If you call outside of hours of operation or are unable to reach a zoo employee, please leave a message, and Guest Services will return your call when available.

Do I need to purchase tickets online? Can I purchase tickets at the door?
Winter Wonderland guests are required to purchase their tickets in advance online for their visit date and entry time.  Admission cannot bepurchased at the door. A limited number of tickets are available for each night of Winter Wonderland.

What can I expect at this year’s Winter Wonderland?
Guests can expect to have a magical night with friends & family with the
Spectacular Drive Thru Holiday Lights Tour where you will encounter thousands of dazzling lights.  An audio tour (coming soon) will be available to download for your tour.

Guests can also park to stroll through Santa’s Enchanted Village before our after their Drive Thru tour. Here you will be able to enjoy a socially distant meet and greet with Santa Claus as well as performances, interactive musical lights, concessions, and more!

Will the gift shop be open?
Yes, the Purple Peacock Gift Shop will be open for holiday shopping!

Will there be food available to purchase?
Drive Thru guests are welcome to visit Santa’s Enchanted Village for concessions and special treats. Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern will also be open for on-site dining and takeout. Learn more at www.gallifords.com.

What time should I arrive? Where should I go?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Latecomers will be put into the next time slot if available. Last Entry on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays is 8:15pm, and Fridays and Saturdays last entry will be 9:00pm.

Note: Santa’s Enchanted Village will be open 4:30pm-8:00pm. You may arrive early to enjoy this walk through area, or you can park after your tour to visit this are.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you select the 8:15pm Drive Thru, you will not be able to enter Santa’s Village after your tour. Please plan to arrive early enough to enter this area before the start of your Drive Thru.

All drive through guests must enter the parking lot through the entrance on the Vineyard Street side of the lot. Enter the address 46 Vineyard St, Millville, MA 01529 into your GPS to be directed to the correct entrance.

After you enter the Vineyard Street entrance, you will be met by a zoo employee for check in. Please show your ticket to the employee either on your device or a printout AND provide your name to the attendant. The attendant will direct you to the entry queue.

How long is the Drive Thru?
Each drive thru tour will last approximately 40 minutes.

Is the zoo fully paved?
Please be aware that not all paths in the zoo are paved, so some sections may be bumpy. We are also located on a hill, so some pathways on the drive thru route are somewhat steep.

Can we stop and get out of our car?
Once the tour starts, guests cannot stop and get out of their vehicles inside the zoo. Guests can park and enjoy walking through Santa’s Enchanted Village, the Purple Peacock, and Gallifords Restaurant & Tavern before or after the Drive Thru tour however.

Will Santa be there?
This year’s Winter Wonderland guests will be able to enjoy a socially distanced meet and greet with Santa at Santa’s Enchanted Village.

We are very sorry, but there will not be a brunch buffet at Galliford’s this year. Galliford’s will have holiday themed specials, so be sure to visit www.gallifords.com for news and updates!

Will I see any animals?
Most animals are moved indoors and off exhibit during the winter, and the focus of Winter Wonderland is holiday lights and displays. Animals that are not moved off exhibit have the option to go indoors at anytime and some may be kept indoors in the event of very cold temperatures or snow. As this is a winter and nighttime event, we cannot guarantee what animals will be outside and viewable during Winter Wonderland.

Can I bring my pets?
Pets are not allowed into the zoo, so they CANNOT be brought to Winter Wonderland. The only exception is service dogs.

I have a free 2020 Winter Wonderland single admission ticket or a coupon I received when the event was still expected to be a walk thru. Can these be applied to the price of 2020 Winter Wonderland Drive Thru?

Yes, guests who have a free Winter Wonderland ticket or coupon can call our Guest Services at 1-800-258-9182 ext 211 or email Guest Services at guestservices@southwickszoo.com for a discount on their admission. Proof of ticket/coupon is required. Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.

If you call outside of hours of operation or are unable to reach a zoo employee, please leave a message, and Guest Services will return your call when available.

Note: Winter Wonderland coupons and single admission tickets will be accepted for 2021 Winter Wonderland if we are able to open as a walk through. Please note that at this time, we cannot guarantee whether the 2021 event will be walk thru or drive thru.

Winter Wonderland Audio Tracks

We strongly recommend downloading the following tracks at home BEFORE you leave for Winter Wonderland. We do not have public wifi through the zoo, and, due to our location, we do not always have strong cell service.

The Winter Wonderland audio tracks are split between 2 folders. There are 22 tracks in total. During the Winter Wonderland Drive Thru, watch for signs signaling when to begin playing each track.

Downloading to an iPhone:

1. Click the download link above
2. You will get a pop up window that says “Do you want to download?”. Press where it says Download in blue.
3. Click the blue arrow symbol at the top right of your screen to show recently downloaded files.
4. Click on the zipped file to bring you to your downloads folder (you can also access your download folder by going to your “Files” app)
5. Click on the zip file to unzip. A file folder should show up right next to the zip file.
6. Click on the file folder to access the individual tracks.

Downloading to an Android Phone:

1. Click the download link above
2. A popup will appear at the bottom of your screen saying “Downloading”
3. After it has finished downloading, Click the blue text that says “Open”
4. To unzip the files, click “Extract”
5. You will now be able to access the audio tracks from your music app.
