Did you know?

  • Bearded pigs are a species of boar that lives in the rainforest areas of Asia. Their most notable physical features are their elongated head and the bristly whiskers on their snout.
  • Like many pigs, they are very intelligent and social. Bearded pigs usually live in small family groups, but during times of migration they form much larger herds.
  • Bearded pigs are omnivores. They eat a variety of things such as roots, fungi, insects, earthworms, eggs, and carrion. They have also been known to follow gibbons and macaques to eat any fruit they might drop while feeding.
